PARTNERSHIP WITH SÃO PAULO'S MUNICIPAL DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
In 2020, we started the implementation of the Technology work field of our Public Education Support’s Programme, in partnership with São Paulo’s City Hall and the Municipal Department of Education. The content of the project was elaborated in consonance with Brazil’s National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) 4 and 5 guidelines, that talk about using different languages for the communication, understanding and creation of digital technology of information in a critic and meaningful manner, in order to support teachers in the implementation of these guidelines in their classrooms. The methodology relates theory to practice, broadening the possibilities of use of the schools’ maker labs. Furthermore, the training process has as goal developing the ability of computational thinking by contents that include free software, 3D printing, laser cutting machines, robotics and unplugged coding.
